Iru B. moved from laid-back California to pursue a degree in fashion design at New York City's not-so-laid-back Fashion Institute of Technology. Though the technical skills she acquired in school are not put to everyday use, the knowledge she gained on her journey from concept to reality informs even her editorial career. Iru joined the TOON Books staff in the fall of 2008 and remains an avid fashion blogger.
